By this time you would’ve found the man. He is the
co-founder of Infosys, N. R. Narayana
Murthy. Next question from you would be “ What is so special about him”.
For that I just believe we could learn something from every person. I have separated his life story into three parts where his close persons influenced him.
First
Part
School to College
As most of them, Naryana Murthy was also born in a
middle class family in Karanataka. He was a very bright student in his school
days. He was passionate about Mathematics and Physics. His uncle was a civil
servant and Narayana’s father wanted him to follow the same route.
For everyone in their childhood their father would be
their greatest influence in their life. Narayana Murthy is none different from
others, His father has taught him everything.
Let’s get back into story.....
Eventhough his father want him to be like his uncle,
he has other ideas. He wanted to become an engineer. Now this will be your thought..
If you're born in India there are two options for you one you can become an engineer or doctor. But he was so confident about his choice and wrote the
entrance test for the IIT and cleared it with a high rank and got a
scholarship.
We all be thinking he got into an IIT. Now is what the
problem comes his scholarship was not enough to completely cover his
educational expenses and his father could not afford to pay the fees. So with
his father advice he joined a local engineering college with a degree in
Electrical Engineering. After completing engineering, he thought of doing his
master’s. So he went to IIT Kanpur where his passion changed towards computer.
He met a famous computer scientist from US and was impressed by his talks. His talks
influenced Narayana to pursue a career in IT sector in future.
After that.....wait for the next part!!
So what was his father role in this?
His father would tell Narayana to clean his toilet
because at 1950’s in India there was caste system where these toilets was
cleaned by some low caste. So His father told him clean his toilet and also
will tell him that these caste system is bad.
What can we learn from N.R. Narayana Murthy Past?
1.
Go chase your dream in any situation
2. Everyone is equal, there is no superior power.
