Top 10 Indian Successful College Dropouts And Their Startup

There are many entrepreneur success stories which are read by many people. In that some of the stories are youngsters who are dropped out of college. Now a day’s more and more youngsters are dropping out of college and starting to work.
There was always a major question the reason behind the drop outs. It can be made into three points.
1. College these days focus on theoretical education more than practical training which does not help in real life.
2. College dropouts start early these days who does not wait for the degree. Hence, there will   be more time to build their dreams.
3. They don’t have to pay student loans, so they can put more investments in their dreams.
But whatever it may be we always see college dropouts as successful in life. Starting from Oprah to Bill Gates, Steve Jobs etc.. there is a list of famous entrepreneurs who have not collected their college degrees.
In India also entrepreneurs prove that college degree is not that important to be successful. Here are the few popular names of successful Indian entrepreneurs.
1. Kailash Katkar
Kailash Katkar founded the company called Quick Heal Technologies, who never went to college. He grew up in a small town of Maharashtra and did not have any formal education. In 1993, he founded the company called CAT Computer Services and renamed to Quick Heal Technologies.


2. Ritesh Agarwal
Ritesh Agarwal is from a small town in Orissa. He dropped out of college which made him eligible for Peter Thiel Fellowship. Then at the age of 19, he built the most popular hotel searching and booking website called OYO Rooms.

3. Varun Shoor
Varun was born in Jalandhar. When he was 13, he taught himself web programming. At the age of 17 he built his own company called Kayako which was after dropping out college in the first semester.

4. Azhar Iqubal
News in short a app that gives you headlines of the day in less than 60 words. He made a revolutionary app which helps people who doesn’t have time to go through news in detail. It all started as Facebook page and then was made into an app. He started this startup when he dropped out of college when he was 4th year.

5. Mahesh Murthy
Mahesh Murthy dropped out of college at the age of 17. He then sold vacuum cleaners, he founded the company called Pinstorm which is an advertising firm. He also won many awards as Creative director and also worked with top brands like Pepsi, MTV, Unilever etc.

6. Kunal Shah
In 2010, Kunal founded FreeCharge which is an online recharging app. He founded the company, when he dropped out of his MBA degree.

7. Rahul Yadav
Rahul Yadav is founder of Mumbai based real estate searching website called Housing.com. He earlier started Exambaba.com which provides a collection of old exam papers, which was closed under the instruction of IIT Mumbai. He dropped out of his college in his last year.

8. Ankit Oberoi
He is founder of AdPushup, a startup which optimizes apps for bloggers and publishers. He dropped out of college in his first semester, declaring it a waste of time.

9. Bhavin Turakhia
Bhavin is the founder of Directi, an internet domain registrar company. He dropped out of college at the age of 18 and founded this company with his brother. Directi is now a  global company with millions of users worldwide.

10. Amritanshu Anand
He is the man behind Retention.ai, a domain to allow app developers to connect with uninstallers and let them study their behavior. He dropped out of college and built his app in 2013

Tesla Acquires DeepScale

Tesla acquires computer vision startup DeepScale , a silicon valley startup that uses low wattage processors to power more accurate computer vision for automated vehicles. Google Kormo App

Google is going to launch its job listings service in india. The app is named as Kormo App. The app will be launched on Sept 20 at a Google event in New Delhi. This app will help user's who are looking for jobs which are posted on online. User's will be able to build digital CV for free and can enrol in training sessions through the app. This app will display open job listings in the city. Google will partner with employers from large companies to small or medium enterprises to include their jobs in their Korma app which will make users to directly apply from the app. In that app there is tab called Learn Tab which will give free training in the form of videos, articles and courses based on individual interest.
