Many tech- delivery companies are now focusing on drone based delivery system and want to use this system in India. Now Govt has selected Zomato, Swiggy, Dunzo and 4 other companies to test the drone-based deliveries. The world might their first public drone-delivery four months ago, but India is taking baby step towards the same. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has selected 7 firms out of 34 applicants which are food and delivery companies Zomato, Swiggy and Dunzo, medical delivery providers Zipline and Redwing, and large enterprise like Tata Advanced Systems and Honeywell. It has rejected 27 applicants because of incomplete information. Zipline and Redwig said that they are waiting for the approvals from the DGCA which has not made these details public yet.
